How digital research is best positioned to understand African consumers
This article is interesting, however doing research based on online surveys would make the data biased, reason being 35 percent of the population in South Africa used a smartphone, most people don't know how to access the internet, you might miss the important data, so traditional methods for now will have to continue until we solve the tech and communication issues in SAblodot

The tourism dilemma
Di a good take on matters and very importantly you promote the "crazy idea" concept to find new unexplored solutions to this problem. We need to think laterally and walk the path least taken. There is time to plan and build new businesses now but few people seem to actually pursue this course. I hope this changes and becomes evident in the emerging tourism product development and marketing of the future. On the brighter side there is really no good reason why Intra-Provincial travel should not be allowed with places that receive tourists/travellers ensuring adherence to safety protocols within their space. Use the current gazetted decree law to do this if needed and put it in terms and conditions of booking so there can be no claim against you if you do enforce the law.Lastly we can't look to a government for help when they have different agendas to the industry as it exists. We are just going to have to force them to do what they must do, probably through the courts, if this industry is not going to be left in tatters. Primedia Group starts retrenchment process
Unfortunately, many people are facing retrenchments and downsizing of businesses. Organisations should support their employees as they enter the world of the unknown. In many cases, impacted individuals view retrenchment as the end of their world. Organisations need to help affected individuals see that this is a bend in the road. There is also an impact on those who stay on after a retrenchment. Several support systems and services are available in the market. Coaching can be instrumental in helping individuals define the way forward. Please support your employees, so they remain loyal to you and your brand after exiting.Anonymous
