Woolies wilts in faith-off
NEWSWATCH: The chain's Christian customers are full of joy at the news that Woolies has faithed facts and repented and will not be pulling religious magazines from its shelves after all, reports Times Live and IOL, but wait... what's this about policy? as reported in IOL? Meanwhile, Exclusive Books has made it known to the highest authority that it still has a faith place on its shelves, reports Between 10 and 5

The company told the magazines its policy is/was/now who knows? to not stock religious and political literature and Woolworths chief executive Simon Susman, replying to a letter from Errol Naidoo complaining about the decision, apparently wrote: "Our teams were regrettably in error in listing this kind of publication. They have now been reminded of the policy." Aah, OK, that's clear then... "Team, you know those magazines you've been stocking for years? Well...you're going to laugh about this one day, but..."
- Between 10 and 5: Exclusive Books Response to the Woolworths Fiasco/... Shame, you have to feel for Woolies... First its lovebirds were kidnapped and now Exclusive Books has taken a leap of faith. So sad...
