Gary Player once said, “Everything in business is negotiable except quality,” and his uncompromising credo is clearly evident in a substantial new publication named in honour of the legendary golf icon, which launched internationally in September 2007.

Published by Greenside Golf Publishing, under license to Black Knight International, Player magazine is a weighty quarterly golf and lifestyle publication, aimed at the cream of the golf market worldwide.

Distributed directly, 50 000 copies are sent to an A+ list database of Gary Player designed courses, resorts and events and Black Knight businesses across the globe. A limited number of copies will be sold on selected newsstands locally with the proceeds going to the Gary Player Foundation.

According to Marc Player, CEO of The Player Group, “The launch issue of Player magazine has generated a tremendous amount of positive feedback from our corporate partners and customers, as well as Gary Player fans that have been subscribed to our Signature newsletter for over two decades. Many have commented on the stylish and interesting content, which was our primary objective.

"The transition from a four-page newsletter to a luxury lifestyle magazine is an exciting venture, and we're certainly pleased that the first issue lived up to the challenge of capturing the essence of the Gary Player brand,” Player concluded.
