Westlife's Brian McFadden to tour South Africa in November

Irish singer-songwriter Brian McFadden will bring his Soul Jam tour to South African audiences in November 2018. He will perform at Platteland in Centurion, Pretoria on 16 November 2018 before heading to the Cape Winelands to perform at the Spier Wine Estate in Stellenbosch on 17-18 November 2018.

McFadden’s singing career took off when he joined the boyband Westlife in 1998. With 12 number one hit singles like Flying Without Wings and Uptown Girl, the band enjoyed enormous international success.

In 2004, however, he left the band to pursue his solo career, releasing his debut album Irish Son. His first single off the album reached number one, followed by a string of number ones.

He moved to Australia and became both a television and breakfast radio presenter, before transitioning back into the world of music. He began writing and releasing more hits, collaborating with pop stars such as Ronan Keating and Keith Duffy on world tours.

McFadden is currently working on recording and producing an album collection of soul classics featuring various guest artists, the first a tribute to soul legend Otis Redding. The first two singles will be released towards the end of October, running alongside his new live shows.

In November, he will embark on a full live tour, Brian McFadden - Soul Jam, backed by a full nine-piece band. While this show will focus largely on his love for old-school soul, it will definitely include many of Westlife’s greatest hits.

“This is a project I have wanted to do for years. I love old soul and I cannot wait to perform some of the great soul classics in South Africa,” says McFadden.
