Week-long birthday bash at the Kalk Bay Theatre

Kalk Bay Theatre celebrates its 10th birthday from 11 to 15 March with a week of one-off performances from some of South Africa's top artists.

For the past decade the Theatre has presented a varied programme of world-class entertainment across drama, comedy, dance and music. From the first production on 12 March, 2004, Tales of an African Knight, to shows such as the multiple award-winning London Road, which premiered on the Kalk Bay Theatre stage and went on to win a Best Actress award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for Robyn Scott, the theatre has created a unique dinner and theatre experience where guests can linger after the show and meet the performers in a relaxed environment.

The line-up for the week will feature a different programme each night, starring some of the artists who have been part of Kalk Bay Theatre's journey. On 11 March, long-standing Tuesday night resident, TheatreSports performs an extra-special show and theatre luminaries Nicholas and Liz Ellenbogen take to the stage.

Audiences will know Cairns from his shows Rat, Sitting Man, Dirt and Sie Weiss Alles, while Van Vuuren has presented Electric Juju and Rob van Vuuren is Rob van Vuuren.
