He will replace James Templeton who announced his resignation in June 2015 to pursue personal interests outside of the listed property sector. Jennett, who joined Emira on 1 November 2014, is currently its chief financial officer and an executive director of Emira.

A CA(SA) with over 20 years' experience in the financial markets, Jennett's career spans a progression of senior and leadership roles with performance-driven companies. He has gained significant business and financial experience, predominantly in the structured capital markets of investment banks.

"Geoff's skills in structuring and deal-making, as well as his strong financial and strategic understanding, make him well suited for the CEO role. In addition, he benefits from the existing knowledge of Emira," says Ben van der Ross, chairman of the Emira.

The process to appoint a new chief financial officer is under way and an announcement in this regard can be expected in the near future.
