Kaya FM searches for female sports presenter

"We are looking for an enthusiastic, sports loving female with a fair amount of sporting knowledge, a quality voice and writing skills. Women have been making inroads in the world of sports for years; they just have not been afforded the same opportunities as their male counterparts. With Sports Idols, we hope to unleash some of the best talent Gauteng has to offer," says Maekanya Morotoba, head of programming.

Veteran sports journalist and TV anchor Jeff Moloi adds, "Writing, a keen eye for a good story, and presentation skills will be key. At the end of the day this is about journalism."

For three weeks, each of the short listed candidates will be given tasks including; participating in the daily debate, reading and writing sports stories. Fans of the show will get an opportunity to listen and vote for their favourite female sports presenter.

Prospective female candidates can log onto www.kayafm.co.za for more information.
