The recent ABF hosted ten-pin bowling event enabled the ABF to raise a much needed R30,000 which will be added to the coffers to assist those advertising and communication folk who are in urgent need of help.
"We need to say thank you to all the teams who participated in the event and to all our sponsors who made the event happen," said Sharlene Vallance Executive Committee member.
The following companies took teams in this event and made the fund raiser possible: Dstv Media Sales, Sync Advertising, The Citizen, Mindshare, Incredible Connection, OMD, Kwanza Communications, Mall Active, NAB, Times Media, Cartox Urban and Yellowwood. "It is wonderful to see the support that companies like this offer the ABF, said Rob Townsend of NAB, this event's co-ordinator. "We are hoping to grow this event and host another ten pin bowls evening a little later in the year."
"We had a wonderful evening with 16 teams fighting for the honour of taking away our floating trophy," says Sharlene. "After battling it out the trophy was won by team "Split Happens" from The Old Shanghai Firecracker Factory. A special thanks must also go to Team OMD who made the evening so much fun."
