Primedia Broadcasting again backs the ABF

Primedia Broadcasting has again heeded the call of the ABF Vital Support Fund, providing it with R100 000 worth of free advertising.
"The ABF is our industry's support structure. It is there to help colleagues, industry captains, sales representatives and anyone else involved in our industry, it is thus natural for us to support it in any way we can," says Andrew Cooper, Primedia Broadcasting's Johannesburg sales manager. "It is vital that the ABF retains its role in the industry and it needs the support of companies like Primedia Broadcasting to do so," he adds.

"We are delighted to have Primedia Broadcasting on board as a sponsor again," says Sharlene Vallance, vice president of the ABF. "The ABF knows that the funds received from this sponsorship will make a direct impact on our work and those industry members who need our support."

"Media Sponsorship of this nature literally funds the ABF Vital Support Fund from day to day. It creates a massive cash flow injection that ensures that it can continue to operate and provide the welcome relief to those who desperately need it most," adds Riana Stander, ABF treasurer.

"It is a serious business sitting on the Validation Committee and being part of a process where one seems to get overwhelmed with people's needs. We try and provide assistance where necessary, but the need out there is far greater than the ABF can provide. Sponsorships like this therefore literally provide money for food," she adds.

The radio sponsorship is available for sale immediately. For more information, contact Sharlene Vallance at sharlene@abf.co.za.

ABF DNA

The ABF is a non-profit organisation helping those in the advertising, media and allied industries that have fallen on hard times. Amongst its many contributions, the ABF, in conjunction with Lifeline have a dedicated 24/7 call centre line for people in the Advertising, Media and related industries who need counselling or treatment for stress, HIV/AIDS and substance abuse problems. The ABF also provides study in the field to deserving, underprivileged students with institutions the like the AAA.

Advertising Benevolent Fund
Everyone knows the ABF in the ad industry, well that's how it used to be. With the constant flow of fresh blood being injected into our industry, the ABF has seemed to be left in the forgotten realms of the minds of the veteran crews of advertising.
