Ogilvy's Topsy Foundation commercial, directed by Egg's Kim Geldenhuys, brought home South Africa's first Grand LIA at the London International Advertising Awards - equivalent to a Grand Prix - last week.
The commercial also fetched two gold LIAs in the Music and PSA categories. This following a gold Lion at Cannes and a gold Loerie earlier this year.
The aim of the commercial was to show the success behind the proper treatment of AIDS with ARV's, untouched by cinematographic trickery or post-editing effects. The result: a rare ad that speaks plainly to audiences worldwide.
