ABF seeks bursary candidate - deadline 30 October 2009

The ABF - the Vital Support Fund behind the advertising, media and marketing industries, will be awarding one bursary for 2010 to a 2nd or 3rd year AAA School of Advertising student next month. Applications need to be completed and handed in to the school's Marilyn du Toit by the 30th October 2009.
“Bursary applications must include a motivation as to why the applicant is in need of the bursary,” says Michelle Randall, ABF bursary portfolio holder. “Along with personal motivations and applications, recommendations from respective AAA lecturers will also be considered before a final decision is made. However, this bursary is open to all applicants, regardless of race or gender, and applications will be considered for any person that can demonstrate a compelling need for financial support.”

On the 16th and 17th of November, the ABF Bursary Committee will interview the top five applicants for consideration. The bursary will be awarded by the ABF at the AAA's end of year Showcase Evening on the 2nd December.

Marilyn adds, "We are delighted to have been selected for a bursary for one of our less fortunate students by the ABF. The AAA School approach to teaching advertising and marketing communication is totally integrated and incorporates the challenges of technology and new media, and this aligns perfectly with the industry that the ABF is designed to support.”
