Continental Outdoor Media, the official sponsor of the Outdoor category, and the official supplier of out-of-home media to the Loeries, is proud to be involved with the Loeries to celebrate creativity and excellence in advertising and show its support for upholding world-class levels of creativity in the advertising industry in South Africa and Africa.
Of the 256 awards handed out at the 2014 Loeries held in Cape Town, four Grand Prix were awarded, one of which is for Coca-Cola South Africa and FCB South Africa for "A rainbow for the Rainbow Nation" in Outdoor Media which celebrated South Africa's 20 years of democracy with an iconic billboard on one of Johannesburg's tallest buildings. By combining a little bit of science with a touch of magic, and the magnitude of a massive building that can be seen by many, they created a rainbow above the building using light refraction and unusable recycled water.
Lelanie Butler, Sales Director (SA) of Continental Outdoor, officiated at the event to hand over the Out of Home awards along with Justin Gomes from FoxP2. She states, "This is the first year of our sponsorship after many years and are proud to be associated with the Loeries once again".
"Continental Outdoor Media celebrates creativity, and continually strives to create the most up to date and innovative out of home (OOH) and digital (DOOH) platforms for advertising professionals to display their creative works so that they receive maximum reach and impact in the appropriate environments," she continues.
