SANEF concerned over SABC developments

The South African National Editors' Forum (SANEF) expressed its concerns today, Friday, 9 May 2008, about the “bizarre” situation that has been happening at the SABC this past week, saying that “[t]he top level disciplinary issues and staff departures are likely to have a highly disruptive effect on the conduct of the broadcaster's operations”. SABC board, management united to restore stability

The board and the group exco of the SABC met yesterday, Thursday, 8 May 2008, to deal with issues that have been “bedeviling” the organisation. SABC News Agency launched

The launch of the SABC News Agency yesterday, Thursday, 8 May 2008, at the Michelangelo in Johannesburg will see, among others, the public broadcaster collaborate with community broadcasting stations to deliver content to communities which it cannot reach.
