ADAPT IT software making inroads into Africa

According to Business Report, KwaZulu-Natal-based Adapt IT chief executive Sbu Shabalala said the groups was in talks with interested parties in Kenya to expand its sugar industry tailored software into Africa. The group had also partnered with Sierra Leone sugar company Addax to help it enter the country. In addition, it would supply education solutions to Rwanda's national university.

Hi-tech solution to fix roads

South Africa's Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has successfully piloted new road technology, specifically designed to improve the lifespan of roads that carry heavy traffic. If the technology is implemented nationally, it could mean the end of potholes on local roads.
