Zain Nigeria signs deal with Nokia Siemens

Zain Nigeria recently announced that it has entered into a managed services and care contract with Nokia Siemens Networks. The agreement covers full network management, operations and maintenance, aiming to ensure network availability at all times across Nigeria.

Zain Nigeria appoints new CEO

LAGOS: The Board of Zain Nigeria, late last week, announced the appointment of a new chief executive officer, Alain Sainte-Marie. Sainte-Marie replaces Bayo Ligali who, according to the Board of Directors of the company, has moved on to pursue other interests after a three-year stint as CEO of the telecommunications company.

Zain launches new consumer product

LAGOS: Zain Nigeria has launched a new product that allows customers on its network to choose their tariff plans. The product, called Zain Joli, allows pre-paid customers to determine their spending patterns by choosing specific packages.

Ericsson to manage Zain's Nigerian networks

Ericsson is taking responsibility for managing most of the network and field operations for Zain's wireless networks and operational support systems, serving almost 4,000 sites across Nigeria. This according to a new agreement that has been entered into by the two parties.
