Starfish Mobile Nigeria has teamed up with Zain, a major mobile telecommunications company, to launch the second Mobile Football Trivia Game in that region. The latest game will be based on the current English Premiership League. The first mobile trivia game was launched in June and was based on the 2008 Euro Champs tournament. Globacom launches another fibre backbone

Second National Carrier, Globacom, has launched its Optic Fibre Cable backbone to enhance transmission of both voice and data on the network. Speaking during the launch at Owerri, capital of Imo State in Eastern Nigeria, Martins Olowonihi, acting Chief Operating noted that the backbone would offer Nigerians, mostly those in the South Eastern part of the country and Owerri precisely, the convergence of voice, data and multimedia solutions.
