Libel claim against The Namibian withdrawn

A Windhoek business owner who was suing The Namibian for N$500 000 for alleged defamation, on 4 March 2013, decided to withdraw his claim against the newspaper.

"We dominate from our strategy and buying power" is how one agency put it. Understandably so; they can show client value without having to get outside of their comfort zones.

NBC woes far from over

After November, the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) will be so broke that it won't be able to pay salaries. Albertus Aochamub, the director general of the NBC, on Wednesday [22 August 2012] said: "There is no money. There are massive deficits that we inherited."
