Imatech purchases first digital production press in Mauritius

Harel Mallac Bureautique, Bytes Document Solutions' representative and the Xerox distributor in Mauritius, have announced the sale of a Xerox digital production press to Imatech Limited. Imatech Limited claims to own the first digital printer, the Xerox DocuColor 5000AP, in the country.

Africa's Olympic win

The African Union of Broadcasting (AUB) has concluded an agreement with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to acquire the free-to-air broadcast rights for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games. The broadcast rights relate to 41 sub-Saharan territories excluding South Africa.

Finalists in the prestigious CNN MultiChoice African Journalist 2008 Competition were announced today, 15 May 2008, by Azubuike Ishiekwene, Chair of the independent judging panel. This year the competition, now in its 13th year, received a record 1912 entries from 44 countries throughout the African continent, including French- and Portuguese-speaking Africa.
