Journalists' trauma book launched in Kenya

The Kenya Correspondent's Association (KCA) and Kenya Association of Photographers, Illustrators and Designers (KAPIDE) launched a journalist's trauma booklet, The Healing Messenger, on 26 June 2009. The booklet is published by the International Media Support (IMS), and provides insight into the trauma experienced by journalists covering the post-election violence in Kenya in early 2008.

PAIDF invests in Essar Telecom Kenya

US students help bring Internet to rural Africa

Residents of rural Kenya now have email accounts and Internet access thanks in part to the work of engineering students at the University of Michigan, USA who enabled satellite-based services at three locations in the country. Their work was supported by Google.

Affordable telecoms critical, says Kibaki

Telkom Kenya enters agreement to digitise parliament

Telkom Kenya has announced an agreement to provide a digitisation solution to all Kenyan Members of Parliament. The deal, signed yesterday, 2 June 2009 by Telkom Kenya chief executive officer, Dominique Saint-Jean and the speaker of the National Assembly Kenneth Marende, will see the 222 elected MPs connected electronically.
