Nice to meat you

Hello, I'm Jessica, the new editor of Bizcommunity's retail newsletter. Besides the internal industry shift, I'm so excited about all the changes happening in the retail space...

This week Nicci Botha reports back on Source Africa 2015 - the African apparel, textile and footwear trade event - covering a seminar on tools for developing international business, and the AGOA renewal and what it means for the next 10 years.

An online revolution is changing everything from retailing to the real estate advertising landscape, and sees men forge ahead in mobile shopping. Soon you'll be able to buy things directly from your pins, and conduct online sales from paid-for Instagram pics, reports Warren Harding.

And for mains, the Top 20 finalists for this year's Wolftrap Steakhouse Championships have been announced. Keep posted to find out this year's winner.

Quotes
Randy Pausch
"The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don't want it badly enough. They're there to stop the other people."
Dean Kamen
"Most of the time you will fail, but you will also occasionally succeed. Those occasional successes make all the hard work and sacrifice worthwhile."
Pablo Picasso
"Inspiration exists, but it has to find us working."
Richelle Mead
"There are little gems all around us that can hold glimmers of inspiration."
Edward de Bono
"One very important aspect of motivation is the willingness to stop and to look at things that no one else has bothered to look at. This simple process of focusing on things that are normally taken for granted is a powerful source of creativity."
