Paarl Print has acquired Spekta Hybrid FM/AM screening software to increase print quality in its computer-to plate (CtP) department. "The new... software allows Paarl Print to offer clients the latest screening technique, excellent quality and freedom from moiré. It enhances the life and vibrancy in the midtones and results in superior reproduction of fine detail," explains Paarl Print's pre-press manager, Wim Verkuyl. Spekta offers both FM and AM screening and excels at reproducing photographic qualities of images; the quality difference can clearly be seen in printed texture, colour and lettering.
