South Africans are being asked to reveal a moment in their past – whether distant or just yesterday – in a photographic project run by DStv’s The History Channel (channel 68). The aim of Photos for the Future is to create a lasting visual record of life over the past century for future generations through the collection of personal photographs and stories. These short historical snapshots will be aired on The History Channel from March 2007, with a special programme to be broadcast in May.
