Independent Online (IOL)'s travel section, which previously featured as a channel on the IOL main page, is now a standalone travel site, www.ioltravel.co.za, due to an increasing demand for online travel content. Expanded content and added features include currency converters, flight bookings, restaurant reservations, car hire quotes, travel tips, visitor reviews and e-brochures. IOL is also reporting a significant rise in traffic from international browsers, thanks to an increase in interest in South Africa as a holiday destination.
