www.macinista.com, recently launched by Hypertext Media, is the first South African news portal dedicated to everything Apple. The site promises regular updates on what's happening worldwide - with a local spin; reviews of hardware and software; how-to's and opinion pieces; and a user forum. Contributors include Brett Haggard, Ben Kelly and Simon Dingle, as well as vertically-focused Mac users from the design, print, video audio and other creative fields. Plans on the cards include the launch of regular podcasts and round-table discussions.
