International bank Standard Chartered South Africa recently announced its sponsorship of a South African women's team to compete in the third Standard Chartered Greatest Race on Earth 2006/7, a four-leg relay marathon contested over a period of five months in Nairobi, Singapore, Mumbai and Hong Kong. The first leg of this year's Race will be run in the Kenyan capital on 29 October 2006. The cash prizes total US$1.5 million.
