As a Marketing coordinator, as well as Social Media and online content
Coordinator with over four years of experience, I have worked with organizations, being at the forefront of digital media and marketing. With work placement lasting between a year and couple of months, it gave me the opportunity to not only develop skills in a range of areas, including digital content development and marketing strategy, but also to learn first-hand the importance of teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
My background is in PR, assisting in developing and maintaining an organization's brand, more particularly in the B2B marketplace. In my most recent role as a marketing assistant for Ster-Kinekor Theatres' media sales division Cinemark, I worked towards increased and more relevant coverage in industry journals and websites. I was required to develop Corporate identity and Branding (creating and reinforcing brand awareness among staff and clients) and worked on the international Cannes Lions Advertising Festival, alongside some of the festival's partners based in London, providing support in devising and implementing effective marketing strategies to deliver on the mandate of the company as the official South African representative. I also worked to assist in developing and maintaining appropriate sales tools to ensure accurate information and ammunition is consistently available for the media sales process.
Lastly, I implemented the department's marketing strategy, ensuring the marketing function performs within set financial measures and ensuring ROIs on executed campaigns. Event Management was a major key performance in my work; with my responsibility being in managing the events process from start to finish.
