I spent the last year and a half working full-time as a Senior Bookkeeper for Life Healthcare, a private hospital group. I performed reconciliations - primarily on fixed assets - for various Group entities. This included accounting for the intercompany transactions, including the related consolidation entries. I have also trained junior staff in how to practically apply these accounting principles to improve the accuracy of fixed assets from a Group perspective. My role also required the preparation of various reports, including the tax schedules, to be used in the preparation of the annual financial statements. At the end of February 2015, I relocated to Cape Town and I am looking for a position where I will be able to practice full function accounting in order to gain overall accounting experience, in an environment which offers the potential for career growth.
My previous position was demanding due to monthly and quarterly deadlines and therefore required working under pressure. Under these circumstances my potential is realised.
I'm qualified with a BCom Business Science (CA Pathway) Degree from Monash University, South Africa.
