"If you can't run, walk; if you can't walk, crawl, but whatever you do keep moving." These are the words that best describe me, Kgaugelo Mahlako Mabye, a 22 year old young lady born and bred in the township of Tembisa. I am currently completing my 3rd and final year towards a Marketing and Communications degree at the University of Johannesburg.
Growing up in the township has me exposed to the difficulties and hardships that life may bring, however, instead of looking at it from a weakness point of view I've made it a strength and motivation to do better in life, to conquer and to achieve. As a result, it is with great confidence that I describe myself as diligent, hardworking and extremely ambitious. Throughout my educational career, I've been passionate about leadership and achieving. Being Head Girl in primary school, Representative Council of Learners Chairperson from grade 10 through to matric as well as being selected House Committee leader in varsity, has taught me not only to lead effectively and efficiently but to always be humble, treat others with respect and never be too proud to learn from anything and especially anyone.
