The multi-faceted Mix ‘n Blend

Meet Jonathan, Kevin and Ross, the musically talented Cape Town DJ trio who are mixing up the music scene with their many genres of sound. I managed to speak to Jon and Kevin just to find out a bit of background and what's currently happening with their group. 17 Nov 2009 09:14

Haezer the sick dirty genius

Have you ever come across a dude that's a genius born for legendary status? Well I have and he gave me the most awesome insight into enjoying life that I've had so far. I bet he didn't even know it. 5 Nov 2009 14:16

Santana says goodbye

After a poor record as Bafana coach, Joel Santana's run finally came to an abrupt end last night when SAFA relieved him of his national duties 20 Oct 2009 11:07

John the Legend

The John Legend concert, held at Cape Town's Grand West Casino last night, 15 October 2009 was definitely one for the books. His opening act, Keri Hilson, was not too bad either, in her gold-and-black get-up (wonder if she bought it at Cavendish?). But the aptly named John Legend really was the star. His Ordinary People, Save Room and, my personal favourite, Everybody Knows rocked the proverbial house. His backdrop was awesome, or I should say legendary. 16 Oct 2009 11:34

What now Santana?

The South African fans and SAFA board will definitely be asking Joel Santana questions as to what happened against Iceland last night (a team ranked 96th in the world, 24 places behind Bafana). 14 Oct 2009 13:52

Javier absence not a problem for Rafa

Liverpool coach Rafael Benitez said on Monday that the injury of Argentine midfielder Javier Mascherano would not pose a problem for the Reds. 29 Sep 2009 14:48

Scousers' good start

Last night's Champions League match between Liverpool and Debrecen was a bit of a close call, but ended well for Liverpool with a 1-0 win. 17 Sep 2009 14:42

Man United loses to Burnley

Last night produced a shocker of note! Last season's Barclays champions Manchester United succumbed to grass roots and newly promoted Burnley. Robbie Blake, the hero for Burnley, slotted the powerful shot that ended the game for Man Utd 1 - 0 leaving Ferguson and his boys with their tails between their legs. 20 Aug 2009 13:16

Close call for the Blues

Last night saw Chelsea clinching a narrow win over Sunderland. John Terry and the boys dug deep to maintain coach Carlo Ancelotti's 100% win thus far. 19 Aug 2009 10:24

Return of the F1 King?

Yes he might be coming back, I don't know if the heading would give it away but if you guessed somewhere along the lines of Michael Schumacher, then you would be right. The seven times World Champion will be subject to physical tests on his “slight” neck injury he sustained in a motorcycle accident last February, the outcome of which will no doubt influence his and others decision of his return. 6 Aug 2009 11:24

Franks to calm the Beast?

Newbie to the All Blacks Owen Franks has the undesirable task of taking on Bok scrum kingpin Tendai “Beast” Mtawarira in Saturday's return Tri-Nations match. 29 Jul 2009 12:16

Lions tackled the Boks

The Lions finally sunk their teeth into the Boks this weekend past winning a respectable 23-9. Springboks coach Peter De Villiers said that they learnt something from this weekend even though they lost. I'm confused, what did they learn exactly? That it's ok to make ten changes to a team who had previously won, or fail to recognise that the starting team this past Saturday was not as strong as they should be. At this point I can honestly say South African rugby misses Jake White! 6 Jul 2009 10:21

Suspicious spending by Real Madrid

Michel Platini has stated that there's something not “normal” about the spending habits of Real Madrid this season. The total spent during this seasons transfer market is at an estimated R2.1 billion. That's enough money to save Zimbabwe, or even Somalia. 3 Jul 2009 10:23

Brazil struggle to beat Bafana

So it's bad news today for Bafana, but I can honestly say WELL DONE TO OUR BOYS! I was proud to be a South African last night irrespective of the 1-0 loss to Brazil. It took a brilliant free kick by Alvez to get past our defence which was the only way Brazil could score. Throughout the whole match and even after Brazil scored South Africa was going toe to toe with a world class country. 26 Jun 2009 11:53

U.S.A produces a shocker!

I feel like I'm sleeping... and I'm having this nightmare that U.S.A beat the current world number one football team Spain. BUT I'M NOT SLEEPING AND IT'S STILL A NIGHTMARE! Last night was of the most unexpected wins ever. All of us thought it would be a Brazil against Spain final, how wrong were we? 25 Jun 2009 11:16

Brazil crushes Italy

Last night was the clash of the titans, the match we all have been waiting for... Brazil up against world champions Italy. And what a match it was! I was backing Brazil as I did for all the years so excuse me if I sound biased. 22 Jun 2009 11:36

Bafana takes the win!

Last night our boys in green and gold, convincingly beat New Zealand. There's hope yet for our national soccer side. I know you thinking it's, not a big team like Spain or Brazil but it is a start. 18 Jun 2009 10:40

Proteas still winning!

Yesterday saw the Proteas extend their winning streak to seven in total against India. Let's not get too over confident but it does seem like payback time for Australia who we have previously drawn to in the 2007 ICC Tournament. I refuse to mention any further details about that tournament; its best left forgotten. 17 Jun 2009 11:00

South Africa takes on England

Tonight see's S.A take on the English in the opening T20 match of the super eights. South Africa still has the memory of losing to England in the last ODI series they played. With the flamboyant and outspoken Kevin Pietersen ready to bury his former country. 11 Jun 2009 10:33

Bafana Bafana ready for the Confed?

This past Saturday surprisingly saw Bafana Bafana beat Poland 1-0. I say “surprisingly”, even though I am a true patriot to my country, because we're not yet up to scratch with the rest of the world when it comes to football. Though at least with this latest win it's a step in the right direction. 8 Jun 2009 16:07

It's shopping time in the Barclays

It's now that time of the season.... the transfer window is open! The 2009 Barclays Premier League is history. Managers are looking for fresh talent to bring a renewed spark to their team. Some are lucky enough to have the money to buy whoever they want. Though regardless of how much money some managers have this could be the make or break for them. 2 Jun 2009 13:06

Barcelona are the Champions!!

Well, well.... to all the Manchester fans, you thought you had it! You only had five minutes of chances but nothing ever came of it! Last night was the second best UEFA final I had ever watched (the best being the UEFA 2005 final were Liverpool won).Last night's final was a game of beautiful football, brilliant teamwork and absolute control, even if it was one sided it was the perfect ending to a final. 28 May 2009 14:04

Guardiola does not fear Manchester!

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola says his lads won't be having any form of nerves come tonight's final clash against Manchester United. 27 May 2009 09:54
