While at Ogilvy, Jon was elected to the committee of the Advertising Media Association of South Africa (AMASA) and went on to be elected as vice chairman in Cape Town.
While in London, Jon was elected as a special advisor to the British Interactive Media Association and lectured at numerous universities, including the London Business School and the London School of Economics.
He has a degree in finance from Stellenbosch University in South Africa.
