This is a 7-week distance-based course which is broken up by modules: An introduction to Web Analytics, Getting the right data in: tracking, customisation and setting up a Google Analytics account, Visitors and site content, Your campaigns, Tracking and conversions, Creating great reports, The different tools.
Quirk Education presents the Certificate Course in Web Analytics, a 7-week course which teaches students how Web Analytics as a discipline falls into a broader digital marketing strategy, and how to use the insight derived from your website data to better understand the behaviour of online users. The beauty of the Internet is its trackability.
As digital marketers, we can track and optimise all our market¬ing efforts, from email campaigns to the performance of a website. Being able to track any digital activity is crucial to assessing its success (or not), and to understanding how to make it work better. It's vital to assess in depth the performance of your website and digital activities in order to draw actionable insight that can be used to optimise your efforts. The cost of the course is R6200 including Value Added Tax and the course will start on the 10 September 2012. Registrations close: 3 September 2012 (We will accept late registrations in special circumstances.)
Interaction will take place via the Quirk Education learning centre - an online platform designed to facilitate easy interaction between the students themselves, as well as the students and course convenors. The course material will also be presented online in various formats: course notes, video lectures, discussion forum, weekly assignments and recommended reading. Academic support will be provided to the students via the discussion forum, and the course convenors can be contacted via email or telephone.
Students' knowledge will be tested each week with an assignment which will focus on the topic for that week. Successful completion of the course will be awarded with a certificate from Quirk Education. Students will also complete an online exam at the end of the course. This course is also endorsed by the Digital Media and Marketing Association (DMMA).
