RamsayMedia a founding partner in CSI portal

RamsayMedia has taken its CSI initiatives to the industry in a very public way. The company is one of the founding businesses to join WeCanChangeOurWorld (a bizcommunity.com partner), which is a sustainable social transformation portal showcasing the CSI efforts of corporate and non-profit organisations.

WeCanChangeOurWorld is partnered with BizCommunity, the biggest multi-industry site catering to a professional audience in Africa and South Africa, and which reaches 350 000 people a month.

RamsayMedia's Picture the Change initiative is currently the lead story on the WeCanChange site, which also counts Woolworths, SA Breweries and Johnson and Johnson among its 10 founding partners. Greenpop and Foodbank SA - two RamsayMedia-supported initiatives - are among the initial not-for-profit organisations showcased there.

Growing awareness

"There is a growing awareness of the importance of CSI efforts focusing on sustainability, transformation, education and the environment," commented Sandy Immelman, RamsayMedia's head of CSI. "As a company committed to giving back and making a difference where we can, we were thrilled to hear about this initiative and delighted to support WeCanChange's efforts - and hope to inspire others in the process."

The portal's objective is to "enable companies, organisations, NGOs and all services involved in the sustainable social transformation space to promote their initiatives, projects and programmes, highlight successful case studies and disseminate their news to the broader community of people passionate about and interested in social change", explained founder Cheryl Harper.

"We want to give a platform to all brands, organisations, and practitioners to share key learnings, ideas and best practice in this vibrant and essential sector."

WeCanChange news and information is included in the Bizcommunity.com newsletters mailed daily and weekly to its databases.
