SA Crowdfunding Platform StartMe with three success stories in opening quater

Three South African Entrepreneurs now have a reason to smile because the StartMe.co.za crowdfunding platform has enabled them to link up with investors to fund their business dreams.

Ben Bertil's idea to recycle lead batteries was one of StartMe.co.za 's first success stories. Ben can refurbish old lead batteries and make them 100% serviceable again. His project received 100% funding of R3,400. This will enable Ben to equip and grow his business to meet growing customer demand.

In just 6 days on StartMe.co.za, Edward Berridge, founder of I LOVE RSA raised 104% of his target. The R6,295 will help expand I LOVE RSA's production. It will equip Edward to meet the growing demand for the beautiful hand crafted bags that are his business creation.

One of StartMe.co.za 's more ambitious projects is Urban Turbine. The project received R10,100, 101% of its funding target. The money will be used to develop a prototype for a vertical wind turbine with a capacity to generate 4000 to 6000kWh of electricity.
