Health24.com wins again
Health24.com's EnviroHealth Editor, Olivia Rose-Innes, has been awarded the Profile Award in the category of Healthcare for her article and slide-show: "Malaria: An African story".
The Profile Awards aim to develop, nurture and advance quality science and technology reporting. The belief is that quality reporting will empower African communities through the spread of knowledge. Another objective of the Awards is to foster connection between African media, who are often reporting on similar issues. Essentially, the Awards are a platform for dialogue and interaction.
The Profile Awards took place in Cape Town on the 24th October 2012. This is the 3rd award that Health24.com has won this year. In July they were awarded the Antonie Roux Award at the Media24 Conference and in September Health24.com journalist, Birgit Ottermann won the 2011/2012 Novo Nordisk Media Prize for her article "6 diabetes myths debunked".
