TFG Giftcard Design Prize Giving
On Friday, 12 October 2012, South African retail fashion brand TFG (The Foschini Group) hosted a prize giving lunch for the top three gift card designs, following a call to design students at top local tertiary institutions to redesign its gift cards.
The winning design was created by Loucelle Mohanlal from Inscape Design College, Rosebank who received a R25 000 TFG Gift Card to be used at any one of the group's retail outlets nationwide. In addition to the grand prize, TFG will donated R10 000 to Inscape Design College in Pretoria towards a bursary for a promising and passionate design student.
Second and third place went to Kobie Nieuwoudt and Matthew Crisp respectively, both are students at students at Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) in Cape Town. As runner up Kobie received a TFG gift card to the value of R10 000 and Matthew a R5 000 gift card.
