Creative Circle results for November/December 2013

The Creative Circle Ad of the Month results for November/December 2013 have been announced, and chairperson for the advertising judging panel that month, Adam Livesey - TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris comments: "The jury was looking forward to seeing some mindblowing, fresh work coming out this month for the upcoming D&AD, One Show and Clio award shows. There were a few good pieces on show, but I suspect that we'll be seeing the majority of the great work in the next couple of months. There was an even sprinkling of work in each of the categories, except for radio that had by far the most entries."

RadioThe Peaceful Sleep campaign won in radio for TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris. And the tactical Cape Times Interpreter spot was also much loved by the panel. Both campaigns had us chuckling, which is always a good sign.
FilmThe Doom Death Matches campaign scored well, but the jury agreed that the "Explosion" execution was the best in the campaign. Both campaigns for SANBS/Blood Donations were really good. The Ad Break Donations was a really fresh use of an ad-break slot. And the Uncle Frank & Prawn Surprise spots were well produced.
Out of HomeThe winning campaign was a poster campaign for CNA/Halloween Promotion by Promise. What really impressed the panel here was the fantastic craft that went into these pieces. Exceptionally good illustration, backed up with some top-notch typography. This is the level of craft we need to be pushing for to do well in the big shows this year. The Ster-Kinekor Laptop billboard was also liked by the judges. It is always great to see a proper billboard, that is somewhat unconventional, amongst a sea of poster campaigns.
PrintThe winning entry was a really sweet idea for Kalahari.com by JWT CT. It was a smart, tactical way of showing off how easy it is to make your online orders at Christmas time, even for kids. There were also some nice pieces for Landrover and Nando's. Overall though, print wasn't a particularly strong category this month.
ExperientialA really simple, effective direct piece from Joe Public won the top spot for Bobtail. This was a fresh approach to get across an old message of how terrible fireworks are for pets. Also some really smart, simple solutions were seen for MWEB and Takealot. Good work.

Congratulations to all the winners.
