The RPA is a Public Benefit Organisation dedicated to protect and defeat threats to global bio-diversity, social responsibility, skills development and job creation. Through the sponsorship, Chrysler has made available a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 2.8L CRD Sahara and a Wrangler 3.6L Rubicon. The cars, branded in a unique and striking colour scheme, will be utilised by the RPA for a period of one year.

Strong links with environment

Speaking at Chrysler South Africa's new head office premises in Midrand, Gauteng, CEO and managing director Trent Barcroft said: "The Jeep brand has always had strong links to the environment through its off-roading heritage and the tread lightly policy. We are committed to conservation and we are looking forward to a long and fruitful relationship with the RPA and wholly support their efforts to bring, amongst other issues, poaching under control in South Africa. The Jeep Wrangler is our iconic off-road vehicle and will serve RPA exceptionally in their on-going efforts."

RPA director general, Scott 'LB' Williams said: "RPA is based on expertise. We want the best of the best to truly make a difference in conservation and anti-poaching. From the beginning, we knew that Jeep vehicles were the experts in their class, and we wanted nothing less. We are excited about our continued partnership with Jeep and about using their cutting-edge vehicles to help combat animal exploitation, thus ensuring South Africa's stunning biodiversity for generations to come".
