Elan Lohmann - General Manager: Avusa Media LIVE
Elan Lohmann,34, has been a local online pioneer for the past 10 years holding many key commercial corporate and industry positions over this time. He founded and now heads up Avusa Media LIVE. He is also a director of Careerjunction. Previously he led News24.com for a few years and started up many new businesses for the 24.com group including Sport24, Netads24, 24.com Social Media and the Property24 rebuild. Elan was a founding member of the Online Publishing Association and
spent two years on the Executive. He is passionate about growing the local industry and helping talent youth come through the ranks.

Justin McCall - Product Manager: Avusa Media LIVE
Justin McCall is in charge of ensuring premium-quality Avusa Media products. McCall previously managed online marketing for Privateproperty.co.za and has gained an extensive and broad knowledge of online products through numerous local and international companies.

Marcus Stephens - Commercial Manager: Avusa Media LIVE
Marcus Stephens is tasked with driving the commercial strategy for Avusa Media LIVE's sites. Stephens' skills have been developed over a 15-year media career, working at leading media and advertising companies namely MediaCompete, TBWA Hunt Lascaris and FCB. More recently he headed up Acceleration Media's new business development department.

Reuben Goldberg - News Editor: Times LIVE
Reuben Goldberg is news editor of www.timeslive.co.za. Since July 2008, Goldberg has been presenting and producing the weekly show, The Internet Economy on Classic FM. Goldberg has been working in hard news, sport and entertainment news media since 1991 in various news leadership positions, with a focus on radio at Capital Radio, 702, SABC and 5fm.

Helen Dawson - Marketing Manager: Avusa Media LIVE
Helen Dawson is the online marketing manager of Avusa Media LIVE and is responsible for raising the profile of the division and the network of sites in the consumer and B2B markets. Prior to this, she was the online marketing manager for The Times Online and managed the successful launch of Times LIVE. Dawson has worked at notable digital agencies and online publishers in SA and in the UK prior to joining Avusa.

Juliette Saunders - Editor: Sowetan and Sunday World Online
Juliette Saunders has been involved with new media for 12 years, coming from a journalism background in news agencies and print. Currently online editor for the fast-growing Sowetan and Sunday World digital brands, she is passionate about delivering audience-targeted news in a multi-platform environment.

Elmarie Vermeulen - Sales Manager: Avusa Media LIVE
Elmarie Vermeulen is responsible for driving the sales strategy for Avusa Media LIVE's digital assets. Vermeulen's skills have been developed over a 20-year media career working on both sides of the fence. Her experience encompasses traditional media strategy as well as extensive online and mobile understanding. More recently she was responsible for setting up and managing the digital unit for the SABC.

Paddi Clay - Managing Editor: Times LIVE
Paddi Clay, Times LIVE's Managing Editor, has been in news and journalism for over 30 years. She has been a foreign correspondent, consultant, manager and trainer in both electronic and print media. She has specialised in start-ups in radio news and production and recently received her Post-Graduate Diploma in Digital Journalism Leadership from the University of Central Lancashire. In 2007, Clay was the Vodacom national Columnist of the Year. She has been involved with Times LIVE since its launch as the breaking news digital home of The Times and Sunday Times.

Siraaj Cassiem - Multimedia Editor: Avusa Media LIVE
Siraaj has worked in the South African broadcast industry, for all the major players, in various capacities, for 12 years prior to his current position. He started out working on film sets in Cape Town, then moved into the newsrooms of e.tv and SABC. He then joined Supersport South Africa as an Edit Producer for three years. This was followed by work in Uganda for GTV.

He is currently managing and developing quality multimedia video, audio and picture content for the Times LIVE and Sowetan LIVE websites.

Jan Hennop - Online News Editor: Eastern Cape LIVE
Jan Hennop is tasked with running Avusa Media LIVE's online operation in the Eastern Cape which consists of two websites: www.dispatch.co.za and www.theherald.co.za. Before joining Avusa Media LIVE, Hennop was deputy news editor at the Daily Dispatch and an Africa correspondent for Agence France-Presse. Before that, he worked for the Sunday Times and SA Press Association as a reporter and started his career in journalism at the Daily Dispatch in 1994.
