Fimbles bring some CBeebies magic to The Baby Expo

"We're delighted to be part of The Baby Expo this year. We are always looking for opportunities to bring the CBeebies brand to life through local events and to let people know about the great mix of programming we have to offer little learners. This will be the first time South Africans will get to see The Fimbles live on stage right here in Johannesburg, together with another first - presenter Sid Sloane who's coming all the way from the UK to be part of the CBeebies experience.

"We hope all visitors to The Baby Expo will come and see us for some CBeebies fun as well as getting the chance to join in with our characters and for the first time in South Africa presenter Sid Sloane be presenting the show with everyone's favourites - The Fimbles.

"CBeebies is very interactive, encouraging parents and carers to be involved in the child's viewing experience and helping them to learn through play. The channel is aimed at the pre-school audience and that's who we make and acquire programmes for. The shows themselves have a broad appeal, however. This is why research finds a lot of what we call communal viewing on CBeebies. Mums, dads and carers actually love sitting down and watching the channel with their children," adds Mette Haack, Marketing Director, BBC Worldwide Channels.

The Baby Expo will be kick-started with their first show for the year in Johannesburg from 13-16 May at the Coca-Cola dome but visitors can look forward to adding a second Johannesburg show to their list, scheduled from 25-28 November at The Coca-Cola dome.
