The forum company and the Apartheid Museum join forces in the celebration of truth and fresh food

The forum company, long-associated with the offering of fine food and stylish presentation amid contemporary South African art and iconic heritage venues, was invited by the Apartheid Museum to open Truth Café. It is also the exclusive caterer for the Museum that hires out a number of venue spaces including a 170-seater auditorium and banqueting space seating 250 people.

The forum company prides itself on delivering food of the highest quality made with the freshest ingredients. Added to its fresh food philosophy is a commitment to sustainability and carbon-reduction initiatives. It operates out of two main locations; The Campus at Bryanston and Newtown's recently refurbished Turbine Hall. Each offers a variety of catered conferencing, boardroom, function and wedding venues as well as event planning and co-ordination services, décor hire and waitering staff. The forum company is also behind a number of “not-your-average” staff restaurants at corporate headquarters across Johannesburg including those of advertising agency Oglivy and law firm Bowman Gilfillan.

In 2009 the Turbine Hall received the Colosseum Award as part of the Johannesburg Development Agency's Halala Awards. The award paid tribute to the contribution made to the inner-city's regeneration efforts with the restoration and preservation of the building. The once neglected and derelict building now has landmark status.

The forum company's partnership with the Apartheid Museum - that has been lauded for its contribution to South Africa's history and heritage and for its ground-breaking architectural design - is therefore a natural fit.
