ADreach gives crime the fingerOutdoor media company The ADreach Group has taken a stand against crime in South Africa via a R1.6 million sponsorship of Street Pole Ads advertising in support of Primedia's Crime Line Campaign.
ADreach's decision to participate in this anti-crime initiative is explained by the Group's Joint CEO Brad Fisher: “Crime Line has proved itself to be a very valuable tool in fighting crime in SA. Importantly, it allows every citizen of SA to play a proactive role in fighting crime rather than just feeling helpless or complaining about the situation. Street Pole Ads is the ideal medium to publicise the important Crime Line number and message, so we felt proud to be able to offer the 400 advertising boards which we believe will make a substantial contribution to the project.” Head of Crime Line, Yusuf Abramjee, commented that: “The Crime Line message is reaching more people and communities every day thanks to the commitment of a number of private companies and organisations who promote the initiative on their platforms - one of these companies is ADreach.” According to Abramjee Crime Line receives hundreds of tip-offs every week. “This just goes to show the reach the campaign has thanks to our supporters,” he said. “The Crime Line message is fast spreading to every corner of South Africa and we are seeing the number of tip-offs increasing by the day. We are grateful for the various partnerships which are being formed. The goodwill from ordinary South Africans is very encouraging, and we appeal to the public to continue providing detailed information on criminals or criminal activity,” Abramjee concluded. The Street Pole Ads Crime Line campaign flights in locations across Johannesburg until the middle of July 2009. More ADreach articles
