Velocity's new young director a finalist at Cannes CFP-Shots Young Director's Award
Newly launched young commercials director at Velocity Films Jeana Theron has been selected as a finalist in the prestigious Cfp-Shots Young Director Award (YDA) 2006 which is part of the Cannes Lions Advertising festival.
The YDA was established by the Commercial Film Producers of Europe supported by Shots magazine and is for directors at the very beginning of their career. The purpose of the award is to support and promote young creative talent in commercial film production from anywhere in the world.
It is a great achievement to be recognized at this early stage of one's career given the competitive nature for young directors to launch themselves. Winners will be announced at the Cannes Film Festival due to commence on the 19th June 2006.
