The office, situated in the Moka Business Centre, will provide access to leading technology products and solutions required by local business and the community.

"Mauritius is an amazing success story; a country with no natural resources that outperforms many of its counterparts across the globe. Its government has recognised the importance of ICT to the country's growth and has created a specific focus on the industry. This in itself is exceptionally forward thinking within not just the African, but a global context," says Bridget Kelly, sales director south and eastern Africa at Comztek.

"It is against this backdrop that Comztek is expanding its footprint into the country, by securing a local office, appointing a local team, and working with localtechnology businesses to bring world-class technology solutions to business, government and customers in the region. It is also our goal as a business to contribute to Mauritius, by creating jobs and developing local technology skills," adds Kelly.

Sales manager Vivek Rajiah, who brings local experience and business acumen to the position and the country, will head the newly opened Comztek Mauritius offices. Working closely with local business and the Comztek African support team, Comztek Mauritius will focus on reselling premium brands such as Cisco, Avaya, Fujitsu, Ruckus Wireless, Kaspersky, Microsoft, to name but a few, to its customers and partners.

"The Mauritius office is yet another milestone in Comztek's African expansion strategy and demonstrates our commitment to the country and the continent as a whole. We are very excitedabout the prospects the region holds and look forward to working with the local business community, to ensure we are able to bring them technology solutions, that will assist them in further positioning themselves as contenders in a global economy," ends Paul Conradie, managing director at Comztek.
