After completing her BA communication and BA Honours in marketing management at the University of Johannesburg, Jennings cut her teeth in advertising at Leo Burnett before taking up a position as marketing manager at Toyota SA. Jennings returned to the agency world as a business unit director at Grey SA, prior to trying her hand at an entrepreneurial venture where she co-owned a small marketing company that operated in the SMME sector.
