Die Burger introduces new concepts with Onsert-technology

Die Burger recently made history by becoming the first newspaper in Africa and the Southern hemisphere to make it possible to paste a coupon on an advertisement in the newspaper. This means readers now won't have to cut their favourite daily to shreds in order to get special offers, entry forms or coupons.
"Where advertisers previously had to make special offers (entry forms or coupons) part of their advertising designs, Die Burger can now paste coupons and entry forms onto the ad from which it can be removed easily," says Steve Immelman, regional advertising manager of Media24's southern newspapers division.

The new Onsert-technology is still in the test phase and currently only allows one CommCard per day on certain pages in the main section of the newspaper. The advertiser has to buy an advertisement in the main section so the CommCard can be pasted onto this ad and not over another advertiser's space.
