On a winning streak

Being awarded joint Agency of the Decade is some serious business and a truly remarkable achievement that needs to be applauded. To receive this award you have to have scooped up more awards than competing agencies, showcased strong business development and growth, while demonstrating an understanding and therefore adapting to the constant changes that are taking place in the marketing industry. It was on these standards that The Jupiter Drawing Room (South Africa) was acknowledged with this prestigious accolade at the Tony Koenderman's Ad Review (awards) in April 2010.
The Jupiter Drawing Room (Cape Town) was also presented the Cape Agency of the Year award on the same night which, in itself, was a demonstration of the company's business excellence and a representation of the quality of their creative outputs. "As the industry evolves, so should our methods and approach in order for us to keep abreast of things." comments The Jupiter Drawing Room (Cape Town), Managing Director, Kevan Aspoas. "We encourage our staff and clients to explore every angle to ensure that campaigns meet objectives and are in the best interest of the brand."

In recent years, significant pressure has been put on media departments to generate solid and innovative media strategies that offer strong return on investment through successful reach of the target audience. So, to be awarded the Roger Garlick Award you must have really got it right from all angles. The Jupiter Drawing Room (Cape Town) was also awarded with a Roger Garlick Gold award for Best Use of Newspaper for the Hyundai Bakkie.

"The main objective was to showcase the credibility and toughness of the Hyundai Bakkies." explains The Jupiter Drawing Room (Cape Town), Media Director, Anne van Rensburg. "We chose an inexpensive but effective route by placing a small ad in an editorial space, where you would typically find farmers with their prized bulls, to communicate that Hyundai Bakkies can also endure the tough farming environment."

This dynamic agency was also shortlisted as one of the top four finalists for their Lucky Pet activation in the Special Events/Stunts category and for their Musica Home Entertainment in the Best Use of Newspaper category.

The Jupiter Drawing Room (Cape Town) is certainly on a winning streak - the company recently added Protea Hotels, American Swiss and V&A Waterfront to their client list. All of which were won through no pitch process but through Jupiter's reputation in the industry.
