The Jupiter Drawing Room (Cape Town), arguably the most awarded agency in Cape Town has just returned from the 2007 Loerie awards with several birds in hand, including a much-coveted Grand Prix award. Jupiter Cape Town claimed more Loeries than any other Cape based agency, with an overall award tally which includes one gold, five silver and eight bronzes.
Jupiter Cape Town was awarded the final grand prix of the evening at the Sunday Loerie awards ceremony in the integrated campaign category for the ‘Ideas' campaign for Interactive Africa. The integrated category looks at a ‘through the line' campaign that takes a single-minded concept and translates it into several media. It is considered to be one of the most difficult categories crack because of the complexity involved in ensuring cohesion across a number of different media. Through the line communication is set to be the way of the future, with more advertising agencies looking to incorporate it as part of their client offering.
Commenting on Jupiter's success at the awards, Managing Director, Kevan Aspoas says: “It is always wonderful to receive awards for our creative work and we are extremely pleased with our achievements at this year's event. It has been an exciting and eventful year for us thus far, with our client base increasing as well as the agency expanding at a rapid rate to accommodate the new business.”
Jupiter Cape Town's victory at this year's Loeries follows hot on the heels of a recent spate of international awards, including several pencils at the recent One Show awards and a Golden Lion at Cannes.
