Fin24 launches new service

Following hot on the heels of its debut on DSTV channel 60, Media24 Digital's premier financial and business portal, FIN24 has launched yet another service that adds value to visitors and advertising partners alike as part of its ongoing content meshing strategy.
Aptly named Info Centre, the new offering provides advertising clients with an opportunity to enter into a dialogue with both FIN24 and print partner FINWEEK's audiences as a further promotional platform on the portal.

The new Info Centre will give advertisers in FIN24 and FINWEEK their own press library on a centralised and dedicated section on the FIN24 portal. Advertisers will be able to post news and pictures to their section of the Info Centre which will be available for all users accessing the website to view.

Nic van den Bergh, FIN24's Business Manager, said the new offering was an added value service to advertisers, and was a great example of complementary media working together for the benefit of customers.

"This is content meshing in action. Advertisers who are paying for print ads in FINWEEK will now also get the added bonus of being able to establish an online press library, giving them valuable exposure while creating a highly visible archive of information about their offerings. It will also be a simple matter for users of the website to access information about these companies."

The Info Centre section will form part of the main navigation on the right hand side of the FIN24 website and on click through, will offer access to client supplied press releases, advertorials, images and event information. Press releases will be categorised according to company name and industry sectors for easy searching.

Clients will get their company name included on the new drop-down navigation menu on the FIN24 home page and full ownership of their branded Info Centre section. Autonomy on the content and visuals will be permitted and companies will also have their latest press releases included on a rotational cycle in the daily "AM Update" newsletter to over 70 000 FIN24 subscribers.

Van den Bergh said companies would be categorised into three groups - Platinum, Gold and Silver - depending on their current level of advertising commitment to the printed publication. "The number of press releases that can be uploaded monthly and the length of time the company's name will appear on the drop down menu will vary for each group, while Gold and Platinum members will be able to include their company logo on a rotational basis within the Info Centre section."
