SA's front-running motoring portal appoints top female driver

Wheels24.co.za, Media24 Digital's premier niche motoring portal with 146 855 unique South African users, has recruited Janine-Lee Gordon as Deputy Editor. Coming on the back of new editor, Wilmer Müller's appointment, the newest driver strengthens and establishes Wheels24 as the team to beat in the race to attract local online users.
With over 56 000 more domestic unique users than its nearest rival, Gordon's appointment comes at a significant time in the progression of the motoring portal.

Nic van den Bergh, Business Manager of Wheels24, said, "Previously working as an automotive online contributor for Tiscali and MWEB and as the first women on our editorial staff, Janine brings with her a unique lifestyle focus. With her passion for cars and extensive knowledge of the national and international motor industry, we welcome having a female perspective on our team."

Explaining the successful establishment of the Wheels24 brand amongst local users, van den Bergh continues, "Since our launch in 2000 our local visitors have been our focal point. From our breaking motoring news to our future model spy photos, our content is uniquely South African and always relevant to the local automotive market."

"With the editorial talent firmly in place our focus now shifts to the evolution of our site. Manoeuvring in the online environment is extremely challenging - though our competitive nature ensures that we are constantly striving for that online chequered flag. In the next few months Wheels24 users can look forward to some exciting new additions - sure to enhance South African motoring aficionados reading pleasure," concludes van den Bergh.
