In its first year, HKLM has grown its permanent staff complement to 25, achieved turnover of over R20m and established itself among the leading branding companies in South Africa and regionally. Its blue chip client list includes AngloGold Ashanti, Global Resorts Limited, Investec, Scooters, Globacom (Nigeria), Conoil (Nigeria), Equatorial Trust Bank (Nigeria) and Mauritius-based Gamma Civic.
Sean McCoy, one of HKLM's four founders, puts the company's exponential growth down to a blend of diverse skills, experience, hands-on management and an innovative approach. "Beyond the cliche', we develop long-term partnerships with our clients based on trust, integrity and shared values."
HKLM aims to become the leading branding agency in terms of performance and service delivery - but not necessarily size. However, further accelerated growth is expected in the future as the founders' restraints of trade have expired and their potential South African client base now widens considerably.
