The theme of the competition is REUNITE IN NEW ZEALAND and it offers fans the once in a lifetime opportunity to meet up with an old friend to watch the Boks in action in New Zealand later this year.
"With Springbok supporters in just about every corner of the world, this competition extends the spirit of the SPRINGBOK FANS UNITE 2011 campaign beyond the borders of South Africa," says Sarah Mundy, SA Rugby Brand Manager.
Springbok fans who have pledged their support for the Boks can enter the competition by simply submitting the details of the friend they would like to be reunited with online at www.unite2011.co.za or at www.facebook/springboks. Friends can live in a different street, a different town or even a different country!
"Using ground-breaking technology, fans can then watch a video of what their trip to New Zealand could look like - complete with personalised footage," commented Grant Hillary, MD 34Sport.
Fans can enter as many times as they like, with as many friends as they like, growing the Springbok fan base in the process. The winner will be announced on 1 August 2011.
The campaign was promoted through Facebook ads, LED billboards at Cape Town and Johannesburg International Airports, on leading news channels, via Superbru and in all SA Rugby's communication channels.
